Vampire Facial

Vampire facial is a combination of micro-needling and PRP or Platelet-rich plasma. After cleaning the patient’s face and neck, we perform micro-needling and apply PRP.

Patient’s blood is drawn commonly from the arm, which is rich in red blood cells and plasma. The blood is then processed, which separates red blood cells and plasma. We discard the red blood cells and saves the plasma. It consists of white blood cells and platelets, which we inject or apply on the face and neck. White blood cells and platelets are rich in growth factors, acting as energy boosters for the skin. Micro-needling opens up the pores and temporarily damages the skin. Once PRP is applied, it increases skin function and elastin and collagen production, which helps in skin rejuvenation.

Total time of procedure:

One session takes 20 to 30 minutes.

What to expect after the procedure:

PRP has zero side effects, and the risk of infection is close to none. There might be slight swelling on the injection sites, which fades away within an hour or so. Skin tightens as soon as the PRP is applied and feels sticky to touch due to PRP fluid. Patients are usually advised not to wash their face for 8 to 24 hours after the treatment.

Sessions required:

In most of the cases, patients require three sessions after every 4 to 6 weeks. A couple of maintenance sessions should be done every year for smooth and glowing skin.
