Veneers

Veneers

Veneers are a thin lining of composite or porcelain (tooth-colored material) to correct the color or shape of the tooth or close the teeth’ gaps. It is a cosmetic procedure to enhance the look of the patient.

There are two types of veneers:

Chairside Composite Veneers

Tooth is prepared and covered with Composite resin material on the same day. Composite veneers are less expensive than porcelain veneers. For having composite veneers, lab involvement is not required, and veneers can be placed the same day. Composite can chip off and stain easily as compared to porcelain veneers

Porcelain Veneers
Tooth is prepared, the impression is taken, and the lab develops the veneers. It can take two to three working days. Porcelain veneers are more durable then composite, and if proper oral hygiene is maintained, they are long-lasting too.
