1. Children dentistry
A child’s first dental visit should happen early, around the time the first teeth appear, rather than waiting for a problem. Baby teeth start being replaced from roughly age six, and decay before then can affect the permanent teeth developing underneath. Children’s dentistry focuses on prevention and on making that first experience an unfrightening one.
2. Removable dentures and overdentures
Removable dentures replace one or more missing teeth and can be taken out for cleaning. We also provide partial dentures, cast dentures and complete dentures, with shades matched to your natural teeth.
3. Scaling and teeth cleaning
Eating and drinking leaves a soft film of bacteria called plaque on the teeth. If it is not brushed away it hardens into tartar, also called calculus, which brushing cannot remove. Scaling and teeth cleaning removes it professionally. Most people benefit from this every six months.
4. Deep cleaning (scaling and root planing)
When gum disease progresses, the space between tooth and gum deepens into pockets and calculus forms below the gum line where ordinary scaling cannot reach. Scaling and root planing cleans those root surfaces so the gum can reattach.

5. Composite fillings
Where a tooth has decayed or fractured, the damaged tissue is removed and the tooth restored with a tooth-coloured composite filling matched to your natural shade.
6. Fissure sealants
A fissure sealant is a protective coating applied into the grooves of the back teeth, sealing them so food and bacteria cannot settle there. It is most often used for children, whose molars have deep grooves that are difficult to clean thoroughly.
7. Composite build ups
A composite build up rebuilds the shape of a front tooth or restores a back tooth using tooth-coloured composite material, shaded to match the surrounding teeth and contoured to the tooth’s original anatomy.
8. Pulpotomy
When decay reaches the pulp inside a tooth, a pulpotomy removes the infected portion of pulp and seals the chamber. It is most commonly performed on children’s teeth.
9. Veneers
Veneers are thin shells bonded to the front of the teeth to improve shape, shade or alignment and to close small gaps. They are often combined with teeth whitening for a consistent result.
10. Root canal treatment
When infection reaches the nerve, root canal treatment removes it from inside the tooth so the tooth can be saved rather than extracted. Modern root canals are usually no more uncomfortable than a filling.
11. Dental crowns
Enamel is the hardest substance in the human body, but a tooth weakened by a large filling, a fracture or a root canal still needs protecting. A dental crown caps the tooth, restoring its shape and taking the load off the remaining structure.
12. Tooth extraction
Extraction is a last resort, used when a tooth cannot be saved or is damaging those around it. We provide both routine tooth extraction and surgical extraction.
13. Wisdom tooth extraction
Wisdom teeth are the last molars to come through, usually in the late teens or twenties. When there is not enough room they can become impacted, causing pain, swelling or repeated infection, and wisdom tooth extraction is then advised.
